1930's Photograph of the 1910 Buick Bug Model 60 Special Racer
8" x 10" Black & White photograph from the 1930's. We are unable to document exactly when or where this very interesting photograph of the 1910 Buick Bug Racer was taken. We believe it represents two of C.S. Howard's (Howard Automobile Company) employees (the two men) who were sent to bring the Bug back to Howard's San Francisco Van Ness Boulevard Buick dealership from the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco after Howard purchased it from the museum. The car was then given to Buick's Chief Engineer Charley Chayne, who promptly oversaw its restoration in Buick's Engineering Department. In the photograph, Mrs. Howard is sitting in the driver's seat. You will receive a high-quality, high-resolution reproduction of this photograph printed on heavy stock, gloss photographic paper.
