Post Card - Noon Hour at Buick and Weston-Mott Factories, Flint, Mich.
Rare unused 3-1/2" x 5-1/2", Black & White, photograph post card, circa 1908-1909. This is an exceptionally clear and sharp photograph from which the post card offered as item #00860 was prepared and colorized. View looking east across Hamilton Avenue. The Buick headquarters building is in the center of the photo; Factory #1 is behind it. The Weston-Mott Headquarters Building is next to Factory #1 (left). Note the addition to the Weston-Mott Headquarters Building has not yet been made. A very small piece of W.F. Stewart Wood Works/Buick Factory #4 is shown (right), where early Buick bodies were built. Flint Motor Axle Company is shown at the end of Hamilton Avenue (right side of photo); immediately to the left of it, the Imperial Wheel factory can clearly be seen. The trolley lines that are shown ran to Saginaw Street, and south into downtown Flint, Michigan. You will receive high-resolution images of excellent clarity of both sides of this post card, enlarged to 8-1/2" x 11" to show evey detail.
