Smooth as a Bird's Flight - Dynaflow Drive

In 1948, Buick introduced its Dynaflow automatic transmission. Buicks were the first American cars to use a torque converter. The Dynaflow's torque converter drive had been developed as a part of Buick's production during World War II of the M-18 Hellcat Tank Destroyer. By 1954, 85% of Buicks were Dynaflow equipped. This informative 16-page booklet provides a detailed description of the engineering featues, principals and advantages of Buick's Dynaflow transmission for 1949.  Chock full of interesting facts and information.  7" x 9-1/4".  Very well illustrated in full color!
